Branded Merchandise and Apparel

Branded apparel and merchandise help reinforce the Fred Hutch identity and ensure teams present a consistent, professional look. Whether you’re ordering a few items or coordinating a larger team order, these guidelines outline how to correctly use the Fred Hutch logo, colors and approved department sign posts.

If your apparel includes a department name, you must use an official department sign post, as defined in our brand architecture system. Custom or improvised department labels are not permitted.

Below you’ll find information on where to purchase branded items, approved logo usage, apparel colors, placement rules, ordering processes and examples.

Purchasing Apparel and Merchandise

Outside of these sources, teams can place custom orders or bulk orders through brand@fredhutch.org.
Use the Apparel Guidelines below to prepare for a custom order. 

Fred Hutch Online Store

Our online store has Fred Hutch-branded apparel and merchandise available for purchase and is great for purchasing a few items at a time. Products include fleeces, vests, rain jackets, hats, umbrellas, journals, tote bags and more.

Clinical employees: Please submit a requisition through the clinical PeopleSoft Catalog in the ePro WorkCenter to order merchandise with a department budget. 
Shipping: Shipping is required and typically takes 3-5 days.
Note: We do not have items available for purchase and pick-up in person.

Fred Hutch Gift Shop

The Gift Shop provides a welcome retail environment for patients, families and staff to purchase items that are both practical and meaningful. It carries a variety of quality merchandise including apparel, jewelry, books, housewares, snacks, games, branded items and specialty skin care products.

Location: The Gift Shop is located on the first floor of Sloan Clinic 1.
Hours: Tuesday-Friday from 8:30 a.m.–4 p.m.
Employee discount: Employees receive a 20% discount on the first Wednesday of the month on Fred Hutch logo apparel.
Payment type: Credit card only transactions (including Apple Pay, etc.)

 

Shine Store

Shine offers oncology-focused products, services and Fred Hutch merchandise. 

Location: 207 Pontius Ave. N, Seattle, WA
Hours:
Monday–Friday 9 a.m.–6 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
Employee discount: Employees receive 20% off; 30% off 10+ logo items.
Payment type:
 Credit card‑only transactions and cards must be presented in person.
Delivery: Orders may be picked up at Shine or interofficed to a Fred Hutch mail stop after payment.

Placement

  • Fred Hutch logo is always printed on the left chest.
  • Department names cannot be printed underneath or on top of the FH logo. 
  • If adding a department name, it should be placed on the right side chest or right-hand upper sleeve.

Approved Apparel Colors

Below are the approved colors for apparel printing along with the required logo that must be used for printing.

  • Apparel color: Navy / Logo color: White
  • Apparel color: Dark grey / Logo color: White
  • Apparel color: Heather grey / Logo color: Navy or full color
  • Apparel color: White / Logo color: Navy or full color

Please note, that when you receive the showcase of the apparel designs, other colors may be shown. However, these are the four approved colors to align with our Brand.

Additional Details

  • Please note that adding the department name will include an additional screen printing or embroidery charge 
  • Please select either screen printing or embroidery for both logo and signpost rather than mixing and matching 

We are unable to accommodate multiple payments for one order. Orders must be paid through one single payment method using either ProCard, personal credit card or Purchase Order.

There are two approved locations for department sign posts: the right-side chest (opposite of the logo) and the right-side arm. We understand this may require selecting a different apparel item for your team.

We strongly encourage ordering a pre-production sample for any full color logo or custom artwork. For branded items that only include the logo or department sign post, a pre-production sample can be waved.

Yes, our branded merchandise vendors can provide a showcase of options for you to choose from after determining your price range and order quantity. Please note that the items provided in the showcase do not include final cost, which will include a set-up fee, shipping and taxes. This information will be included in a separate estimate.


Ordering Process for Internal Teams

For apparel and merchandise options, please reach out to brand@fredhutch.org.

  • Production time on all orders will vary, please build in at least 3-4 weeks into your delivery timeline​.
  • All orders must meet quantity minimums. Apparel minimum quantity orders can range from 12-25 units.
  • It is the requesting department’s responsibility to create a PO or use a ProCard and handle all billing/payment for the order.
